  12. I have recently decided to connect to the Internet, so I got the following
  13. software:

  15.     - AmiTCP 4.2
  16.     - PPP 1.44 Registered

  18. Then I subscribed with a local provider and installed everything. I chose the
  19. following setup:

  21.     Dynamic IP address with PPP/PAP
  22.  
  23. The installation procedure seemed to go straight, but...
  24. ...there is a little problem: every time I type 'startnet' I get the following
  25. message:

  44. The messages are not very explanatory to me, so I have absolutely no idea of
  45. what happened.
  46. I tried to monitor the call with SnoopDOS, but it also is not very
  47. informative...
  48. I read an re-read AmiTCP manual and PPP docs, but I don't really know what's
  49. going wrong.

  51. Is there anybody who could help me? I could also send AmiTCP log file and every
  52. config file
  53. created by the installation scripts.
